About Programme The Spark How to Apply FAQ Apply Now EN / BM

Trade education has been looked down on. We're done with that story.

Walk in with nothing but the will to work. Walk out a certified technician in nine months, with a skill no one can take from you.

And if you can't afford it, we'll find a way.

Are you in?

TQUK Level 3 Diploma · Internationally Recognised · 30% of seats reserved for those who need it most.

Image placeholder Hero photo: a real Malaysian technician at work. Gritty, proud, mid-job. Sweat and focus. Pink-edge duotone treatment.

Somewhere in Malaysia right now, a 19-year-old is being told he's not university material.

To the kid who was told university was the only way.

To the parent who just wants a future for their child.

To the technician who's been invisible for too long.

We see you.

Our philosophy

We are not a vocational school. We are not a short course. We believe people are built, not born, and we made a place to prove it.

We believe an education this important should never be locked behind money. So one in three seats in every cohort is free, reserved for B40 families, orphaned youth, and the Malaysians who need it most. Making it free for everyone is the fight we're still in.

We have teachers. We have structure. We have standards. What we don't have is patience for a system that keeps failing the people it should be lifting.

Open to all
One in three seats, free.
Built, not born
We pick character over background.
Real respect
Skilled work, treated like it matters.
Why this trade matters

The one job a robot can't take.

Air conditioning is what makes a hot country liveable. Cool enough to sleep, focus, learn and work. Take it away and everything slows down.

And while AI comes for the desk jobs, it still can't climb into a ceiling, braze a pipe, or revive a dead compressor in 38 degree heat. A skilled pair of hands is the one thing software can't replace.

AI-proof Can't be outsourced Always in demand

Don't take our word for it. Lee Kuan Yew called air conditioning one of the most important inventions in history. Elon Musk agreed.

A trade the world will always need. This is what we train.

Elon Musk on X agreeing with Lee Kuan Yew that air conditioning was one of the most important inventions in history, beside a chart showing sleep, productivity and learning dropping once indoor temperatures pass about 23 degrees Celsius.
Elon Musk on X, June 2026

Hotter country. More buildings. Not enough trained hands.

900k+
air-conditioning units sold in Malaysia in a single year, and the number keeps climbing.
JRAIA, 2023
+26%
projected growth in Malaysia's HVAC market by 2030 as buildings keep going up.
Mordor Intelligence, 2025
18%
of Malaysia's HVAC technicians hold the certifications the job actually needs. That gap is the opening.

The problem

Four truths about trade education in Malaysia.

None of them are the student's fault.

01 / The Price

The Price

Trade education costs too much for the people who need it most. They get priced out first.

02 / The Pace

The Pace

The industry moves fast. New systems, new refrigerants. Certification hasn't caught up, so graduates arrive outdated.

03 / The Stigma

The Stigma

An entire generation was told trades were a consolation prize. The most expensive lie we ever accepted.

04 / The Waste

The Waste

Too many train for a trade, then never work in it. They end up behind a counter or on a delivery bike. The skill was real. The job never came.

The Skill Passport

We can't change your employer. But we can make sure they can never ignore what you've built.

Every skill you prove at Fixers Academy is recorded in your Skill Passport. A verified record of exactly what you can do. Not a certificate you frame on a wall. A credential that speaks for you when you can't.

Watch one get built. Scroll.

Built, not born.

* Continued skill tracking available for graduates who keep building on the Fixers platform.

What makes us different

Eight reasons this isn't like the others.

Hands-On Learning

Every skill is learned by doing. Not by watching, not by copying notes. You touch the equipment, diagnose the fault, fix the problem. That's the only way it counts.

Peer-to-Peer Culture

Senior students mentor juniors. Knowledge flows both ways. You learn faster from someone who figured it out last month than from a textbook written in 1997.

Gamified Skill Passport

Progress tracked through XP and verified competency levels. Every module you complete builds your Skill Passport. Portable, verifiable, yours forever.

Failing is Progressing

You don't pass a skill until you can prove it. Fail a module? You try again. No shame, no penalty. Mastery takes repetition, and we built the whole system around that.

Expert Instructors

We have teachers. Real ones. Industry veterans who've done the work, fixed the machines, and know what the job actually demands. Not lecturers. Practitioners.

Recognised Diploma

TQUK Level 3 Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, endorsed by an Ofqual-recognised UK awarding body. Not a local certificate. A global credential.

Industry Placement

Your final months are spent inside a real company doing real work. Not a simulation, not a field trip. The actual industry, with a supervisor and a job scope that matters.

30% of every cohort is reserved for B40 applicants and orphaned youth. No grades required, no connections needed. Just the will to show up.

Open equally to men and women.

Put a skill in a daughter's hands and you rewrite a family's story in a single generation.

The trade was never meant for only half of us.

The Spark
Day zero · 3 to 5 days

You can't buy your way in.

Everyone starts the same. Paying or sponsored, you begin with The Spark: 3 to 5 days that decide whether we offer you a seat. No exceptions, no shortcuts. This isn't a test of what you already know. It's a test of how you show up.

We can teach you the trade. We can't teach you this.

Experience, we don't care about. Attitude, we take dead seriously. This is what The Spark is really watching for.

  • You show up. On time, every time.
  • You keep your word. If you say it, you do it.
  • You don't quit when it gets hard.
  • You'd rather get better than look good.
  • You own your mistakes and fix them.
  • You respect the work, the tools, and the people doing it.
0 days.
Earn your seat, then the real work starts.

The Forge is your first phase, and it pulls no punches. No hand-holding. You'll try things you've never tried, you'll struggle, and you'll surprise yourself. Most people do.

No prior experience required. Just show up ready.

What you walk away with

A skill is never just a skill.

01Your mother stops waking up at 5am.
02You drive your own car home.
03No more hutang. No more asking around every time the family needs something.
04You become the one who breaks the cycle. Your family climbs, because of you.

After Fixers

A diploma is where you start.

Not where you stop.

01

Graduate

You finish with a diploma and a verified Skill Passport.

02

Certified Technician

You earn real money, build a name, and the hutang finally stops.

03

Senior Technician

You lead jobs. Juniors learn from you. Your wage climbs.

04

Specialist

You unlock advanced tracks like chillers and commercial systems.

05

Master Technician

You're the one they call when nobody else can fix it.

06

Your Own Boss

Or go further. Start your own outfit, hire your own crew, and give others the same shot that changed your life.

Nobody in Malaysian trade education shows you this ladder. We think you deserve to see exactly how far this goes.

For CSR partners

Your CSR ringgit usually funds a programme. Here it funds a career.

Every sponsored seat produces a certified, employed Malaysian technician. We don't report intentions. We report outcomes. Income before and after, placement rates, retention at six and twelve months. Published, because our credibility lives in the numbers, not the brochure.

We want to make trade education free for every Malaysian who needs it.

We are not there yet. We are looking for founding partners to sponsor seats, and every ringgit goes straight to a young Malaysian who needs it.

Malaysia's best institutions were started by people who saw it early and put their name on it. We're not looking for donors. We're looking for founders.

Questions

Straight answers.

None. The Forge is designed for complete beginners. If you can show up and work hard, you qualify to try.

RM12,000 for the full diploma, paid as a deposit plus monthly installments, so you're never hit with a large sum at once. 30% of every cohort is reserved as sponsored seats for those who qualify.

B40 status or documented orphan status. Apply and we'll assess. No shame in asking. That's exactly what the seats are for.

Yes, and we mean it. The trade was never meant for only half of us. This work is skill, not brute strength, and women apply on exactly the same terms as everyone else. Put a skill in a daughter's hands and you change a whole family's future.

Two different things. The Spark, your first few days before we offer you a seat, is a real gate, but on attitude, not skill. Not your moment? You can come back. Once you're in, a module is different: we don't punish failing, we expect it. You redo it, supported, and keep moving. The only thing we never accept is quitting.

TQUK Level 3, endorsed by an Ofqual-recognised UK awarding body, the same group behind the British A-Levels. In this trade, employers hire on whether you can do the work. They know this qualification, and they hire on it.

Every other trade school in Malaysia is blue, grey, industrial. We chose pink on purpose. The moment you see it, you know this isn't what you were told to expect. A trade can be proud. A technician can be respected. We are not the industry that looked down on you. We are what it becomes next.

A verified record of every skill you've proven at Fixers Academy. For graduates who keep building on the Fixers platform, it grows throughout their career, so your record always reflects what you can actually do.

Top graduates receive direct placement with our industry partners. All graduates receive job referral support and access to Specialist Tracks.

You host a Fixers Academy student during their placement phase. A trained, supervised, enrolled technician in the making. Reach out and we'll walk you through how it works.

Become an ambassador. Share our story, sponsor a seat, refer someone who needs this. The fight doesn't need a title.
